At ALD Automotive Denmark, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Hadrien Boisseau as our new Chief Executive Officer replacing Henrik Engel, who is pursuing a career outside the ALD Group. This appointment is effective from June 1st, 2021.
41-year-old Hadrien is highly familiar with the ALD business due to his long-standing role as the Chief Financial Officer for ALD Automotive’s Nordic Region since November 2015. In addition to a heavy background in finance, Hadrien also brings expertise from consulting, auditing, and business operations from his five years in Mergers & Acquisitions with ALD’s majority shareholder, Société Générale, and, prior to that, his six years at Deloitte.
The previous CEO of ALD Denmark, Henrik Engel, is proud of the organization he is now leaving to Hadrien. “It has been a fantastic journey and I have enjoyed playing a central role in the digital development of used car retail sales with the Clicks’n’Bricks concept, launch of private leasing and releasing, growing partnerships, the introduction of ALD Flex and ALD Electric, and the new online quoter, MyShowroom, that will shortly be launched as a central part of ALD's leasing operations. Before joining ALD, I have worked in several different industries, and change management, business development, and product and service innovation have always been key in my positions – also at ALD where multiple new, digital, and green initiatives have been put in motion during my time. With Hadrien at the helm and a strong 2025 strategy already in place, I am confident that ALD Denmark will maintain its role as frontrunners in the years ahead.”, Henrik states.
Hadrien stresses Henrik’s major role in suitably positioning ALD Denmark to be the number one sustainable mobility provider in the years to come, and he is looking forward to being a bigger part of this journey. Hadrien adds; “Our customer centricity along with our digital, flexible, and sustainable mobility solutions are key differentiators in this very competitive market. Leveraging our strong organization, key partners, and adequate mobility products, we will be able to accompany our customers in solving their mobility needs and transitioning to a more sustainable future.”
Hadrien is French, but he has been living in Denmark for the past five years with his wife and two sons. Hadrien views Denmark as a highly attractive country with many interesting cultural aspects. This does not only apply to his private life in Denmark, but also to his professional life, where he is pleased to see a leadership culture based on trust and responsibility, as this fits well with his own values as a leader. Hadrien concludes; “To me, leadership is an action – not a position. Creating trust towards our customers and partners as well as empowering our employees is essential to be successful in everything we do. This will be a major part of my approach going forward as the new CEO of ALD Denmark.
